The Actors
Studio is widely regarded in the industry as one of
the leading providers of acting training in the UK.
Covering every age group and experience level, from
absolute beginners to actors with industry experience,
the classes and courses that the Actors Studio run are
meticulously designed to impart every skill and device
necessary to make a living as an actor. From acting
and improvisation to working on scripts and learning
monologues, each class is run by casting specialists
and industry professionals who use their experience
to give every participant the benefit of their first
hand view of the business.
The Actors
Studio has been developed as a professional resource
by leading acting agents Tim Kent and Julie Fox, and
this connection to a personal management agency and
commercial
agency offers
the added possibility of representation for both children
and adults. The studio offers various levels of tuition.
‘The
Actors Gym’ course is a fresh and dynamic concept
that allows actors to hone and develop their abilities
- to ‘build acting muscles’. Students will
devise theatre, improvisation, learn monologues and
build confidence, all under the expert eye of the Actors
Studio personal trainers…
Course numbers
are limited to allow every student the benefit of more
personal attention and flexibility in the programme
if necessary.
In addition
to the adult courses, The Actors Studio has devised
and operates the foremost acting course in the country
for children and young performers. “That’s
a Wrap Performing Arts School” promotes poise
and self-confidence and teaches the foundation skills
of performance to every child.
There are
advanced children’s courses for those who might
wish to take it further – but above all else,
it is very good fun!
The Actors
Studio has also recently taken over a new facility in
London just yards from Kings Cross, so will soon be
able to run twice as many courses, and help give even
more people the tools to take that extra step towards
their dream.
